The FT Africa Summit brings together stakeholders and decision-makers to deliberate on Africa’s challenges and brainstorm to find lasting solutions. The 2019 conference places a special emphasis on youth, women, entrepreneurs, scientists and artists and on fresh thinking generally. The FT Africa Summit is now in its 6th year and features high profile speakers in business, politics and economics.

This year speakers included Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa, who spoke about the ambitious program as outlined in the African Union Agenda 2063 in advancing economic development and integration. Other speakers included the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who delivered a keynote address on Ghana’s Digital Transformation Agenda and Jeremy Weir, Executive Chairman and CEO of Trafigura, who spoke about new opportunities in power generation.
