PASH Global (PASH) is an impact investor in the clean energy sector. PASH is a London headquartered company established in 2012 to develop, finance, build, operate and maintain power assets globally. PASH is looking to invest £1 billion over the next 5 years.

PASH bring a wealth of expertise and insights to sustainable power projects. While our main focus is to develop bespoke power solutions for the commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, we also develop utility scale projects for governments around the world.
PASH has a highly experienced management and technical team with extensive development and execution expertise including involvement in over £100bn in energy and infrastructure transactions on every continent. The management team brings more than 100 years collectively of project finance, private equity, engineering, construction, operational and maintenance experience.

Team
Board Members and Directors

Kofi is in charge of PASH’s strategic development. He co-founded PASH and manages the Project development teams focused on the structuring, transaction management, legal and financing aspects of PASH’s Projects. Prior to PASH, Kofi practised law as an international energy and infrastructure lawyer for over 10 years in private practice and while working for a private equity firm. In private practice he focused on renewable energy, project finance, energy and infrastructure related transactions, international banking transactions, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Kofi has advised Governments, public sector entities, sponsors and lenders in connection with major projects and corporate and finance transactions and has also advised clients in the oil and gas sector.
Since 2009, Kofi has closed over 1 GW of renewable energy projects (including acquisitions), working closely with major international lenders and corporate entities on projects all over the world.

Valentine has 20 years experience in the fields of private equity, privatisation, merchant banking, corporate finance, accounting, auditing, development economics, capital markets and business development in transitional economies. Valentine currently serves on the Board Commonwealth Development Corporation CDC Group, a public limited company, development financial institution whose shares are owned by the United Kingdom Government. Mr. Chitalu serves as the Chairman of Phatisa Fund Managers L.L.C, that runs $200m Africa Agribusiness Fund and $45m Social Housing Fund. Before becoming an entrepreneur in 2004, served as a Central African Executive Director of CDC (formerly, Commonwealth Development Corporation). Mr. Chitalu joined CDC Group Plc in July 1999, specializing in deals origination throughout Southern Africa and portfolio management in Zambia and Malawi. He served as a Regional Director of CDC/Actis until December 2003. Mr. Chitalu also holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Politics of Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. He graduated with an M. Phil in Development Economics from Kings College, University of Cambridge in 1987.

Paul has over 5 years experience in the renewable market where he has secured land and permits for developers as well as sourced over 300MW of projects for clients. Paul has worked in the Philippines, UK, Africa and Eastern Europe. Prior to working in the renewable sector Paul gained over 25 years executive level management experience working in International markets in the IT sector with Blue Chip companies such as Motorola, Case Communications, Newbridge Networks, Ericsson, Alcatel and NCR. He specialised, initially in business development for new products, acquisition integration and latterly Divisional General Management. During his tenure in this sector he established a reputation for the successful restructuring and return to profit of many failing divisions and headed a number of company acquisitions. Operating his own interim Management Consultancy for the last 7 years. Working in the renewable sector for 18 months as Sales and Marketing Director, he was responsible for a sales and marketing operation which successfully identified and developed a substantial project pipeline resulting in some 60 MW of consented projects. He also held the post of Commercial Director and latterly Chief Operations Officer prior to joining PASH. His current responsibilities focus on the acquisition of development projects in international markets and heads our Anaerobic digestion (AD) activities in the UK. Paul trained as a Polymer Technologist and holds an LRIC.

Ahmed is responsible for all technical matters in PASH including the implementation strategy. He is also responsible for design, engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance. Ahmed has more than 10 years of experience in electrical design, including Diesel, HFO, LFO and Natural Gas reciprocating high speed and medium speed Generator Sets. He also has vast expertise in designing wind, solar and hybrid power plants as well as DC hybrid units for telecom applications in a number of African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leon, Tanzania and Egypt.
Management

Oge Diala is Senior Analyst and Project Director and the company representative on the African continent. He has over 12-years of experience in Corporate and Investment banking with Barclays, RBS, and BNP Paribas respectively as an analyst. He has 8-years experience in solar PV Battery, Hybrid and Mini-grid projects across both the utility and C&I space.
Oge project managed all the Ghana EPC & Lease projects from conception to operational execution and transition into O&M.

Jeffrey is responsible for managing the development process across internal and external stakeholders; including, but not limited to government agencies, financiers, law firms, insurers, as well as the project offtakers. Jeffrey is also heavily involved in sourcing financing for projects.
Prior to joining PASH Jeffrey spent over 6 years at J.P. Morgan in London within their Corporate & Investment Bank division as a Banker covering Public Sector clients in the Middle East, with a focus on Sovereign Wealth Funds in the GCC. He also coordinated closely with sub-Saharan Africa coverage to identify opportunities to grow the Public Sector book and to create strategies for further penetration of the existing client portfolio. In addition to primary coverage of Public Sector Clients, Jeffrey also provided coverage for Banks in the Qatari market
Jeffrey obtained a Master’s degree in Banking and International Finance Law at the School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Essex.

Phil is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the Southern African region and fostering local partnerships. He carries out evaluations and reviews power project investment memorandums provided by development partners to ensure they meet financial and technical performance indices. He assists in developing financial models based on technical and commercial assumptions provided by technical and financial teams and creates Investment Committee briefs. Leveraging from his experience as a Legal Counsel he further provides legal advice and participates in negotiations with financing partners and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining PASH , Phil spent over 7 years practicing law in the private sector with commercial law firms in Zimbabwe, Private Equity firms and working for RioZim Limited, a large and diversified mining group where he assisted in the development of a renewable energy initiative.
Phil obtained a Law Degree at the University of South Africa and is a registered Lawyer with the Zimbabwean Law Society. In September 2020 he was recognized by the African Legal Awards Hosted by UK Legal Week as the Most Promising In-House Counsel.

Rilwan is responsible for managing the accounts and finance function at PASH with initial career background in accountancy firm specialising in accounts preparation, auditing and due diligence work on AIM listed clients.
Before joining PASH Rilwan have finance career spanning over 15 years of management experience in both public practice and commerce and industry, with audit experience in oil and gas industry.
Rilwan obtained bachelor’s degree in financial services management at Edinburgh Napier University, a fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants FCCA and associate member of Association of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants ACMA.

Marketing and PR

Katya has over 5 years’ experience in PR & Marketing in the UK and Ukrainian markets. In Ukraine, she governed Customer Experience activities for brands such as Volvo, Porsche, Jaguar and Landover. In the UK market Katya conducted Marketing Activities for brands such as MINI and BMW. Now working in the renewable sector as a PR and Marketing Manager, she is responsible for promotional activities at PASH. Her current duties focus on developing and building relationships with key local energy companies, handle media enquiries and draft and issue press announcements and corporate documents.
